Welcome to Calendar Buddy. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by the Calendar Buddy application (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

The App is designed to function without collecting your personal calendar data on our servers. All processing and transfer of your calendar data happens exclusively between your own devices.

1. Calendar Data

The core function of the App is to read events from your device's calendar and display them on your companion Wear OS device. To do this, the App requires the "Read Calendar" permission. We only access data from the specific calendars you explicitly select within the App's settings. The data we access includes:

• Event titles, start times, and end times
• All-day status and location
• Calendar name, color, and associated account name (e.g., your email address)

This calendar information is NEVER uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party. It is only transferred from your phone to your paired Wear OS watch via Google's secure Wearable Data Layer.

2. Usage and Diagnostics Data

To improve the stability and performance of our App, we use third-party services that may collect information automatically. This includes:

• Firebase Analytics: To understand how users interact with the App (e.g., which features are used most often). This helps us improve the user experience.
• Firebase Crashlytics: To automatically collect crash reports. This data helps us identify and fix bugs faster. The information sent includes device state information, unique device identifiers, and location data.

How We Use Your Information

• To Provide and Maintain the Service: We use your calendar data solely to display your events on your Wear OS watch face, complication, and within the wear app.
• To Improve the App: We use the anonymous, aggregated data from Firebase to analyze usage trends, diagnose problems, and improve the App's functionality and reliability.

Data Sharing and Transfer

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable calendar data to outside parties. Your calendar events are only transferred between your phone and your watch.

Anonymized usage and diagnostic data is shared with Google as part of our use of Firebase services.

Your Control and Choices

You are in control of your data. You can:

• Select Calendars: Choose which calendars the App can access and sync within the App's settings.
• Revoke Permissions: You can revoke the "Read Calendar" permission at any time through your device's system settings. If you do, the App will no longer be able to function.
• Uninstall the App: You can delete all data stored by the App on your devices by uninstalling it from both your phone and your watch.

Ads

We do not display ads on the mobile app or the wear app

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13.
